Definition
Available cash is the settled, unrestricted cash that current platform and risk controls permit an account to withdraw, invest, or otherwise use.
In market context
This amount can be lower than the account balance because pending withdrawals, reserved funds, open positions, unsettled transactions, or locked products may already claim part of the cash. It can also change when fees, realized results, interest, or rewards post to the ledger. Availability is therefore an operational measure at a point in time, not a promise that every requested transaction will pass compliance, product, or margin checks.
