01

Asset exposure and rewards

Staking commits an eligible digital asset. Rewards accrue in asset units, so their fiat value and the principal value can rise or fall with the market.

02

Locking and unbonding

A staking position can remain locked for a stated period and may enter a separate unbonding period before principal returns to the account balance. An eligible early exit can reduce returned value and forfeit future rewards.

03

Decision checklist

  • Can you leave the funds unavailable for the full term?
  • How are rewards calculated and paid?
  • What penalty and forfeiture applies to early exit?
  • How does the product affect available cash and other plans?
